Do you love or hate fussy cutting?

Hello Reader,

If you're anything like me, you love a good fussy cut project. But cutting into the fabric in the middle can be a little nerve-wracking! Today I'm going to share my favorite tip for getting a great fussy cut without wasting a lot of fabric:

Use washi tape or masking tape to mark your ruler to the correct size!

If you're not familiar with the term fussy cutting, it's the practice of cutting around a specific motif in a piece of fabric, instead of just cutting from the end. I don't use it often, but I find it can be the perfect touch to a quilty project, like in this Hyacinth Travel Case (you can find the PDF pattern here):

I'd love to hear from you, do you love fussy cutting or hate it? Do it out of necessity only? Hit reply and chime in!

Happy Sewing,
