Quilty Weekend Inspiration [Issue 14]

Hello Reader,

It's been a bit of a break since my last Quilty Weekend Inspiration, but I'm excited to be back! I've spent the last two weeks diving in to all the zipper pouches because of the Zipper Pouch Challenge, so I'm sharing all my favorites for making pretty pouches!

I also wanted to remind you all, it's time to binge-watch the videos; they expire on Tuesday, February 10th! Make sure to download and save any PDF Patterns you want to keep to your computer. We loved sewing along with you!

Some of my favorite tools that I used during the challenge:

Creative Grids Rulers. These are my absolute favorite rulers because they're grippy on the back and have great ruler markings. I reach for the 8 1/2 x 12 1/2 and the 4 1/2 x 8 1/2 most often.

Many of you emailed me to tell me you love this Creative Grids Corner Rounding Template, I ordered one!

The Original Little Foot 1/4" presser foot has made piecing so much easier for me. Bonus, I discovered it because it was designed by the mom of my local quilt shop owner!

My favorite specialty ruler, the Wing Clipper, is perfect for making lots of flying geese! If you're only making a few, the Creative Grids 4 1/2 x 8 12 is the ruler for you!

Everyone loved my Cutterpillar Premium Lightboard and Swivel Cutting Mat. You can grab those with my coupon code cloverandviolet for 15% off!

And, my cute Oliso Mini Pro M3 Iron that I used all week in the lives sew alongs, I have Pistachi, but I really love the aqua!

After a whole week of sewing, my hands were extra dry, but I recently found a new favorite hand cream by AvryBeauty. If you're looking for something lovely and affordable, I'm so pleased with this one!

I also drank several cups of my favorite tea, as my throat was sore from talking! 🤪

If you're new here and want to see the previous Weekend Inspiration posts, I've shared them all here so you can catch up.

I hope you have a lovely weekend! If you have a great sewing or quilting related find, I'd love for you to share it with us and we'll pop it in our next edition of Weekend Inspiration!!

Happy Sewing,

Hello Reader, I'm sharing something a little different this weekend. Instead of some of my favorite sewing and quilting supplies, I want to share a few of my favorite quilty people, who have some things you don't want to miss! Here's a favorite photo from dinner at QuiltCon, where people really are the best part of attending! My friend Jo’s Beginner Quilt Class has just opened for enrollment! In the class students are guided step by step through making their first quilt. By the end of the...

of Hello Reader, QuiltCon was a couple weeks ago now. When people ask what QuiltCon is, I have to mention the shopping because one part is a highly curated gathering of shops! I had to keep my shopping small enough to fit in my carry-on bag, but I still managed to find some great things. Here are the links to all my QuiltCon buys: Our first stop on the first day was the Scanfil Thread. At QuiltCon in Phoenix, a few of us tried Scanfil thread and loved it so much that we made sure to head over...

Hello Reader, Stopping by your inbox today to share a little holiday sewing inspiration, as this is one of my favorite seasons to sew! If you love a quilty twist, I started making these stockings in 2010, the year my oldest was born. They're simple, mismatched, and fun. You can head to my blog to make your own! Here are some of my favorite holiday and giftable tutorials and patterns: Here's a blog post of my five favorite things to make and gift! I've loved making Christmas tutorials, so...
