of Hello Reader, QuiltCon was a couple weeks ago now. When people ask what QuiltCon is, I have to mention the shopping because one part is a highly curated gathering of shops! I had to keep my shopping small enough to fit in my carry-on bag, but I still managed to find some great things. Here are the links to all my QuiltCon buys: Our first stop on the first day was the Scanfil Thread. At QuiltCon in Phoenix, a few of us tried Scanfil thread and loved it so much that we made sure to head over there and get cones of the colors we wanted. I grabbed Crystal Pink 4860 in both 30 and 50 wt. In case you've never heard of it, everyone - quilters, bag makers, and long arm quilters - agreed that it was amazingly lint-free and my machine loved it! Another repeat stop from the previous QuiltCons was the webbing at Sewtopia. I grabbed this, this, this and this, but the options are almost endless! I also snapped up a Wooly Flourish by Lynn Christansen of Emberal Falls Quilts. It's a raccoon because my sister and family have a long-running raccoon joke. I can't wait to stitch it up for her! No shopping trip would be complete without a few Liberty of London fat quarters from Duckadilly! We have some travel coming up, so I also picked up the Curvelets, Curvelitos + tools from bettycrockerass - I can't wait to try hand stitching these! Chrissy of Sew Lux had a booth, and my friend Deanna gave me one of her Selvege Magic Kits. I can't wait to sew it up! Last but not least, I also restocked on SewFine Thread Gloss, which is my absolute favorite notion for any type of hand stitching or embroidery! My friends and I stayed in a cute AirBnB in Raleigh, and stayed up way too late talking and laughing, it was like a weekend-long slumber party! We used my favorite Grace & Stella Eye Patches every morning, which was a great way to keep fresh! Which reminded me that I had a brilliant idea for eye chapstick...and I found this amazing one! I use it every night and feel like my skin looks plumper! --- If you're new here and want to see the previous Weekend Inspiration posts, I've shared them all here so you can catch up. I'm enjoying some pretty spring-like weather, and I hope you are too! Happy Sewing, |
