Hello Reader, Happy weekend, friends! I've been in the depths of planning the Olivia Sew Along this last week, since it kicks off Monday. I've taught a few live classes, but never hosted a sew along live, so I'm excited and nervous! Hoping it turns out to be sew much fun. If you want to join us, it's not too late, sign up here! I shared about buying bias tape st week, but this week I made a bunch myself and shared a little about that too, you can take a peek at my top tips on Instgarm here. My must have tools for bias tape are a 25mm bias tape maker and my Modern American Vintage Quilter's Clapper. I have used a quilter's clapper before and I loved it, but I was so surprised how much heavier the MAV clapper was, I'll never go back. Oh, and it's pretty cute too! Another thing I've started collecting is Measure Tape Ribbon, I ordered this one from Amazon and am eyeing a few more on Etsy, I'll share more next week! Now that cooler weather is here, my sourdough starter is back to work! I think I use sourdough in the most lazy way possible, and I've yet to really master the sourdough loaf. But, during cooler weather you'll find us eating these delicious Sourdough Biscuits with gravy every Saturday! My other favorite thing about cooler weather is drinking tea again. I love having a nice warm cup of tea in the afternoons, my favorite is this Rishi Turmeric Ginger, it's just the right amount of spice! Sandi wrote in and shared a podcast she and her husband enjoy listening to when traveling - called Most Notorious. I added it to my playlist but haven't listened yet, I'm looking forward to putting it on during my next sewing session. Do you have something you'd like to share? Please reply and send it over so I can feature you next week! --- If you're new here and want to see the previous Weekend Inspiration posts, I've shared them all here so you can catch up. I hope you're loving the change of seasons as much as I am! Happy Sewing, |

Hello Reader, I'm sharing something a little different this weekend. Instead of some of my favorite sewing and quilting supplies, I want to share a few of my favorite quilty people, who have some things you don't want to miss! Here's a favorite photo from dinner at QuiltCon, where people really are the best part of attending! My friend Jo’s Beginner Quilt Class has just opened for enrollment! In the class students are guided step by step through making their first quilt. By the end of the...
of Hello Reader, QuiltCon was a couple weeks ago now. When people ask what QuiltCon is, I have to mention the shopping because one part is a highly curated gathering of shops! I had to keep my shopping small enough to fit in my carry-on bag, but I still managed to find some great things. Here are the links to all my QuiltCon buys: Our first stop on the first day was the Scanfil Thread. At QuiltCon in Phoenix, a few of us tried Scanfil thread and loved it so much that we made sure to head over...
Hello Reader, It's been a bit of a break since my last Quilty Weekend Inspiration, but I'm excited to be back! I've spent the last two weeks diving in to all the zipper pouches because of the Zipper Pouch Challenge, so I'm sharing all my favorites for making pretty pouches! I also wanted to remind you all, it's time to binge-watch the videos; they expire on Tuesday, February 10th! Make sure to download and save any PDF Patterns you want to keep to your computer. We loved sewing along with...
