Quilty Weekend Inspiration [Issue 4]

Hello Reader,,

I'm glad you're loving this weekly inspiration! I'm back with two sections this week, Quilty Finds - my favorite things around the sewing web, and Loving Lately - non-sewing things I am enjoying!

Let's talk 1/4" feet. I disovered Little Foot – The Original 1/4″ presser foot at my LQS a couple years ago. It turns out the quilt shop owner's mom invented it! My piecing is forever changed. The physical shop is no longer open, but you can still grab a Little Foot from the website here - I have 3, one for each machine in case we're all quilting at the same time!

Have you ever made Half Rectangle Triangles? They're a little trickier than it seems, but my friend Tamara at Remi Vail Studio has made it so easy with her latest post! Learn her method here.

You may know that I use Pellon Fusible Thermolam for just about everything...I buy it by the bolt! But Julie from Sublime Stitchery has a great post that breaks down the differences in fusible fleece types and also has a guide for fleece available worldwide. Read all about it here.

Speaking of fusible fleece, I have my favorite bag making supplies in my Amazon shop, so if you're wondering where to buy them now that Joann is closed, you can find them here. I usually use the same couple products so that I can buy the whole bolt.

We recently rediscovered our love of Gorgonzola cheese, so we've been making this pasta a couple times a month. We add a little chicken and it's the perfect summer dinner!

The summer isn't quite over, so if you're looking for another pair of sunglasses to get you through the fall, my favorites are Goodr. I have two pair of these, and we love buying them for the whole family because they're affordable and everyone can wear the same fame style.

I have a tiny closet in my front entry way and I finally found a shoe solution for it, this adjustable one works perfectly!

Do you have a favorite item I should try out? I always love your recommendations?

How about a sewing or quilting notion you've been wanting to try? Send it my way and I'll look into it, I've found some of my favorites this way!

Happy Sewing,
