Quilty Weekend Inspiration [Issue 9]

Hello Reader,

Quilty Weekend Inspiration is back! When I started this weekend newsletter I was enjoying weekend mornings on the back deck and it seemed the perfect time to send you a little note.

Fast forward to school starting and things have been a bit wild, but I'm back!

This week's inspiration photo doubles as a quilty find! I LOVE making bias tape - weird, I know. But if that's not your thing, I discovered the most beautiful premade bias tape from Bessie Pearl Binding Co, read more below!

If you're not a fan of making your own bias tape, or you do enjoy it but would like to have some pretty pieces on hand, you can't go wrong with Bessie Pearl Binding Co. And, to celebrate the Olivia Jewelry Case Sew Along, I have a coupon just for you! Use the code OLIVIA20 to get 20%off. Shop Bessie Pearl Binding Co here.

For years I've been using Pellon FlexFoam in my projects, but I'm working on a project for the upcoming ByAnnie blog hop, so I ordered some Soft and Stable and I love it so much! If you've struggled using foam, do yourself a favor and get ByAnnie's!

While we were traveling, my daughter spotted this 1 Canoe 2 puzzle, Alpine Moon, while we were shopping in LLBean, and we're enjoying working on it now that we're home!

When we traveled to Lisbon in May I picked up a garlic grater plate in a market, well, it turns out I love it! Especially for having kids help in the kitchen, it's a great way to safely get them involved in cooking. It works for garlic, Parmesan cheese, ginger, and anything else you want to grate up finely.

I was looking for something worthwhile to use my Audible credits on, and Stacy recommended the audiobook, The Fellowship of the Ring read by Andy Serkis. We listened to it on our road trip and are thoroughly enjoying it.

Do you have something you'd like to share? Please reply and send it over so I can feature you next week!

Hello Reader, I'm sharing something a little different this weekend. Instead of some of my favorite sewing and quilting supplies, I want to share a few of my favorite quilty people, who have some things you don't want to miss! Here's a favorite photo from dinner at QuiltCon, where people really are the best part of attending! My friend Jo’s Beginner Quilt Class has just opened for enrollment! In the class students are guided step by step through making their first quilt. By the end of the...

of Hello Reader, QuiltCon was a couple weeks ago now. When people ask what QuiltCon is, I have to mention the shopping because one part is a highly curated gathering of shops! I had to keep my shopping small enough to fit in my carry-on bag, but I still managed to find some great things. Here are the links to all my QuiltCon buys: Our first stop on the first day was the Scanfil Thread. At QuiltCon in Phoenix, a few of us tried Scanfil thread and loved it so much that we made sure to head over...

Hello Reader, It's been a bit of a break since my last Quilty Weekend Inspiration, but I'm excited to be back! I've spent the last two weeks diving in to all the zipper pouches because of the Zipper Pouch Challenge, so I'm sharing all my favorites for making pretty pouches! I also wanted to remind you all, it's time to binge-watch the videos; they expire on Tuesday, February 10th! Make sure to download and save any PDF Patterns you want to keep to your computer. We loved sewing along with...
